Arne Forsén (b 1960) is a musician with a rare range in his register. With piano as main source for his creativity he wanders and weaves his way between various musical expressions. He´s got a long and well reputed career as pianist in the field of open-minded jazz and free experimental improvisation. He´s classical trained and he´s got a deep interest in folk music from Sweden and other cultures, especially from West Africa.

Forsén collaborates as well willingly and eagerly with other art forms such as dance, visual arts, theatre etc. The collaboration with dance is the most notably.

Besides working freelance Forsén is teaching piano and improvisation at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm.
